Job Title: Childcare Sitter

Position Overview:
As a Childcare Sitter at SWLA Sitters, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of the children under your care. You will provide professional and personalized childcare services to families in the Southwest Louisiana area. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide reliable and compassionate childcare to children of all ages, including infants and those with special needs or disabilities.

• Maintain a safe and engaging environment during childcare assignments.

• Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures for the well-being of children.

• Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed during childcare assignments.

• Tailor childcare experiences to meet the individual needs and interests of each child.

• Administer first aid and CPR when necessary.

• Promote healthy eating habits by offering nutritious snacks and meals.

• Uphold professionalism, punctuality, and courtesy in all interactions.

• Ensure compliance with SWLA Sitters' policies, including safety, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Minimum age of 17 years.

• Successful completion of a federal background check and Child Protective Services (CPS) check (REQUIRED).

• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification (REQUIRED).

• Possession of a valid Driver's License.

• Minimum of one year of documented childcare experience.

• Experience with children of all ages, including infants.

• Experience in caring for children with disabilities is a plus.

• Understanding that this is a PRN (as needed) position.

Benefits:

• Compensation based on the number of children under your care and hourly rates:

  • $11 per hour for 1-2 kids.

  • $12 per hour for 3-4 kids.

  • $13 per hour for 5-6 kids.
